Instructional Television (ITV)
Instructional Television courses are conducted using pre-recorded video programs which may be viewed in a variety of ways. The links below provide important information about telecourse viewing options. Viewing Telecourses on Cable TelevisionMost programs air locally on cable; check the Cable TV Schedule for specific broadcast details for each course.Note: BIOL 1309 (Life on Earth) and BIOL 2306 (The Living Planet) are not broadcast on cable. These videos are only available in the ACC Media Centers.
Renting Telecourses from ACT MediaStudents have the option of renting telecourses for the semester from ACT Media, a commercial distributor not affiliated with ACC. Students pay rental and shipping fees; contact ACT Media for details. Note: BIOL 1309 (Life on Earth) and BIOL 2306 (The Living Planet) are not available through ACT Media. These videos are only available in the ACC Media Centers. Watching Telecourses in ACC Media CentersVideos for all ITV classes are available for students to watch in the Media Centers on campus and at some of the ACC Centers. Students should check with the individual Media Center for tape availability. Accessing Telecourses via Streaming MediaSome programs are available as streamed videos online; information will be provided in the syllabus if applicable to the course. Students should contact their instructor if they have questions or problems viewing streamed videos.
