Satellite Conferencing
A satellite video conference refers to events broadcast by satellite. Providers send a signal to a satellite and ACC's steerable satellite dish receives or 'downlinks' the signal for viewing in an IVC. A slight variation of a regular satellite videoconference is a LIVE Satellite video conference, where attendants are able to interact with call-in questions, e-mail or fax (provided in IVC) during theQ & A portion of the conference. Satellite video conferences are often used to address attendants at several different locations in a timely and consistent manner. Live satellite broadcasting is an effective solution to communicate simultaneously with large groups in multiple locations locally, regionally, or nationally. Although satellite signals can be accessed at any of the IVC's, most are scheduled at Highland Business Center IVC 103.6.
