ACC Distance Learning Course Design and Delivery
DL Course Note GuidelinesCourse Notes GuidelinesCourse notes are available to students both in the ACC printed course schedule and the online course schedule. They are referenced during both the pre-registration and registration processes. Many of the fields created in the course notes are automatically or system generated during the schedule development process. While all the information on the course notes is important, class orientation information (see item #4 below) and a link to the instructor's web site or page (see item #8 below) and a link to the class syllabus are extremely important elements needed for DL student success. Course Notes are therefore a very important part of the DL course design and development process. The course notes can be an important resource for instructors who want to reduce the potential risk of student attrition. For more information on what DL Course Notes are, what must be included, what not to include, how to format them, how to make a Course Note entry, how to write Course Notes for new courses, how to write Course Notes for existing courses, how to develop Course Notes for unstaffed sections, how to proof Course Notes, and various Course Note examples, visit: http://dl.austincc.edu/faculty/CourseNotes.html. After you have planned and analyzed your DL course and developed your course notes, the next step is to design and develop your course . Download Adobe Reader to view and print PDF files. |
