Welcome to Distance Learning at Austin Community College. This webpage has been designed to give you a brief introduction to DL and provide easy access to the ACC and DL support services that are available to you and your students. We hope you find it a convenient resource to assist you in your role as a new Distance Learning instructor.

About Distance Learning

Distance Learning provides ACC students with a flexible, convenient way to earn college credit, by participating in non-traditional, technology-based courses. DL instructional delivery modes include Online (PCM) classes, Instructional Television (ITV), Print-Based (PRN) courses, Directed Studies (DIR), and Hybrid (HYD) courses.

During the fall and spring semesters, Distance Learning is typically the college's fourth largest campus by enrollments, while during the summer it moves up to the second, or even first largest campus in the district.

DL Faculty Listserv

As a new Distance Learning instructor, you have been added to the DL Faculty Listserv. We use the listserv to provide periodic updates and information about instructional calendar items, professional development opportunities, events, websites of interest, technology trends, and support services and resources provided by DL. As with all listservs, you may occasionally receive information that is not pertinent to your current situation. If that is the case, we ask that you simply delete the message.
