Instructional Design

A reality of IVC instruction is that a portion of the students will be in a classroom at a remote site. Students at the remote site locations may, at times, feel isolated. It is important for instructors to keep these students engaged.

For information on adapting a course for Multimedia Support, go to http://dl.austincc.edu/ . There are many aspects of IVC instruction that make it unique from face-to-face instruction.

In order to maximize the effectiveness of teaching from an IVC room, it is important to plan and design instructional materials specifically for an IVC course. Materials must be presented and lessons must be delivered in a new way. This section helps guide an ACC instructor through the IVC course design, presentation, and delivery process.
