Document Camera

The Document Stand Camera is an overhead projector with a video camera mounted at the top of the unit. It is used to display any printed material, slides, negatives or any 3-D object that can fit on the base.

The unit comes equipped with both overhead lights and base lighting. Zoom and Focus controls allow the presenter to make adjustments to the image being presented. These controls are both on the document camera and within the AMX Touch panel Document Camera controls.

The document camera projects overheads, and other documents to both the near and far sites.

To display the contents of the document camera, select the "Document Camera" icon on the Polycom AMX Touch Panel. (bottom portion of screen)

Note: Selecting the Document Camera from the Local Source panel ONLY displays the contents of the document camera to the Local site. To display documents to the remote site, an instructor must select the Document Camera option from the Outgoing Source Control panel.

With the Document Camera, an instructor can adjust the following:

  • zoom
  • manual versus auto focus
  • freeze frame
  • ext/int light
