Distance Learning 101

Distance Learning classes provide greater flexibility than on-campus courses, but they also require good time management skills and self-motivation for successful completion. They may not suit every student's needs, expectations, or learning style. Review the resources below to get a better understand what is expected of students taking DL courses, and what you can expect from Distance Learning.

    This glossary provides definitions for terms used in ACC's Distance Learning program, and covers basic technical terminology. The page also offers information about books and links to online resources that may be helpful to new DL students.

    This interactive checklist will help you see if your technical skills and experience meet the needs of distance education courses at ACC.
