Voice Communication Tools
Wimba's Voice Communication Tools consist of Voice Direct, Voice Board, Voice Authoring, Voice Email, Podcasting and Voice Presentation .
There are two ways to create Voice Communication Tools for your class. One way is within Blackboard. Another way is by logging into Wimba.
For step by step instructions on how to create each of the Voice Communication tools, select from the list below.
- Voice Direct (allows faculty to deliver live, synchronous audio chat conferences). Using Bb. Using Wimba.
- Voice Board (enables faculty to compose, play and store audio discussion topics). Using Bb. Using Wimba
- Voice Authoring (provides audio recorded voice announcement capabilities). Using Bb. Using Wimba.
- Voice Email (enables faculty to send and receive email with embedded audio). Using Bb. Using Wimba.
- Podcasting (allows faculty to create Podcasts within Blackboard and send them to students).
- Voice Presentation enables instructors to narrate web pages and media rich URL sites such as YouTube, Expert Village, or Google Video.
Each of Wimba's Voice Communication tools is created the same way. Within Blackboard your students can access Wimba's Voice Communication Tools in one of the course content areas (Syllabus, Course Documents and Assignments).
In addition, an instructor can record voice announcements which are accessible on the main announcement's page within Blackboard.
To create a Voice Communication Tool within Blackboard, do the following:

- Select your course
- Click on the Control Panel icon
