Using Voice Email
Decrease FontIncrease FontPrint

Wimba Voice Emails are relatively easy to use. They are essentially sent and received just like other email messages. The main difference, however, is Voice Emails have recorded audio messages embedded in them. The recorded audio messages are sent by your instructor.

Depending on how your instructor has set up the voice emails, there will be different options displayed in the body of the email.

  • The Click Here link will display the Voice Email Player icon. By clicking on the Play button, you will hear the voice recorded email message left by your instructor.
  • The Reply with Your Voice link in the upper left corner of the email message will be displayed if your instructor has set it to allow the recording of messages. If you click on this link, a Voice Email Recording screen will be launched. This allows you to record a voice reply to the message sent by your instructor.
  • To record a message, select the Round Recording icon in the upper right corner of the screen. After you have recorded the message, click the Send icon.
  • You can send an audio email reply just to your instructor, or you can Reply to All the recipients of your instructor's original Voice Email.
  • The New Voice E-Mail link displays the Record a New Voice Email screen which allows you to record an original, new voice e-mail. You can enter the Subject of the email and recipient (To:) section of the email's header are left blank for you to complete.
